2023 GOLF TOURAMENT
We are excited to announce the details of our Annual Woodford Educational Endowment Foundation (WEEF) Charity Golf Tournament! This year's tournament was held on June 5th 2023 at The Woodford Club golf course. This year's event promises to be a day of food, fun, and LOTS of golf!
WEEF, in cooperation with City National Bank and members of our community came out and shared a day of golf with us while helping a worthy cause. Because of Woodford County's generous local businesses and citizens, WEEF was able to donate over $300,000 to Woodford County Public Schools. Students were given the opportunity to experience fine arts programs and performances, were provided technology in the classroom, and resource materials for all subjects in our schools.
Silas Hart, stated, "The people of Woodford County have always insisted on “Excellence in Education”. Because of the efforts of our Faculty and Administration, we have a school system that is the envy of many school districts in Kentucky. The ongoing support of our community is crucial as we continue to excel."
In addition to the opportunity to play golf, businesses have the privilege of sponsoring the event, which includes publicity during the event, publicity in media advertising, and publicity at every fine arts performance seen by all Woodford County Students and their parents. Sponsorships are available at several levels, starting at $200.
The WEEF Charity Golf Tournament will include 18 holes of golf, with team play, individual play, and "Sudden Death" Shootout. The cost per player is $85 and includes golf carts, green fees, Breakfast, Lunch, and Drinks on the Course, Dinner, and Prizes.
